Enquiries from central banks, licensed banks, government bodies and prospective local partners.

Central banks and public bodies

We are able to present the Programme in the language of your own regulatory framework, and to work through the specific questions a supervisor will have about where obligations attach and where funds sit. Initial conversations are handled regionally and carry no commitment.

Licensed banks

A bank considering the Programme usually starts with two questions: which corridors would be worth entering, and what the institution would need to change to enter them. Both are answered before any agreement is discussed.

Membership agreements are signed with the local program provider in your market, not with AfricaPay. Where a provider is already established in your country, we will refer you to it.

Prospective local partners

A local program provider is a joint venture formed with a qualified partner in-country. We look for partners with standing in their own market, existing relationships with the central bank and the licensed banking sector, and the capacity to operate a programme rather than introduce one.
