Capability

Programme communications

Multilingual publication and localisation, so material developed anywhere in the network reaches each market in its own language.

A local program provider’s task is to make the Programme understood and accepted in its own market. Much of what is needed already exists, developed at group level or by a provider in another country that has solved the same problem, but sits in the wrong language and the wrong regulatory idiom.

Africa makes this harder and more valuable than elsewhere. A single corridor may need English, French, Portuguese and one or more national languages before it reaches the people who will use it.

What the function produces

  • Translation and localisation adapted to local regulatory language rather than translated literally.
  • Seasonal and annual publications circulated across the network.
  • Explanatory material for member banks, their staff, and the public bodies they answer to.
  • Press and media handling for the Programme within each market.
  • Reference material that carries part of the training load.
